2 Halves as A Whole

2 Halves as A Whole, the collaborative project of artists Paige Templeton (she/her) and Ali Bagnato (they/them), emerged from their mutual fascination with the interplay of celebrity culture, digital evolution, and the humour defining Gen Z. Since their inception in 2022, the duo has boldly engaged with the colourful and unconventional aesthetics of 2000s pop culture, producing work that critiques and satirises contemporary social trends.

Their practice uniquely integrates soft sculpture, painting, assemblage, and digital media, catalysing an eclectic amalgam that challenges traditional art forms. Templeton and Bagnato’s body of work offers a vibrant commentary on how technology and celebrity culture intersect with personal identity and societal norms, presenting a fresh and incisive perspective through their innovative and sometimes irreverent approach.
